One of my favourite parts of my job is the people. The customers. My virtual team. And, my ambassadors. I work with amazing women who have *incredible* taste in shoes. 

I caught up with the newest member of my squad, April who you’ve likely seen over at @thebodzilla to learn more about her! 

What’s your full name? 

April Hélène-Horton

Why do you do what you do? 

I grew up with the world telling me I didn't fit in. These days, my goal is to make that a GOOD thing - and remind people that the world is meant to be full of people who are different, unique and amazing in their own ways.

Do you have another job or is your account your full-time gig? 

I sure do! I work in an office, doing communications. It's hard to say what came first - I have worked in so many places where the way I engage with people has been part of my job that it boiled over into my personal life - or was it the other way around?

Where do you get your style inspo?

My mum was my style queen since my youth! She rocked coloured lippy, coordinated colour blocking was her whole vibe! My dad was also very stylish and flamboyant so I guess it was a lucky mix!

What are the must-have pieces in your wardrobe? 

A black top, jeans and a statement piece to top it - scarf, hat, jewelry or jacket. I generally revolve my outfit plan around my accessories, not the other way around.

If you had to choose just one pair of Avarcas to wear for the rest of your days, which ones would you choose and why?

Multi glitter wedges - I couldn't live without a little sparkle!

If you had one day all to yourself with no responsibilities and an unlimited budget, what would you do? 

SPA DAY! Massage, head to toe, skin treatments, relaxation stations activated! Follow that with an afternoon of luxuriating in a hotel bed, watching/reading/listening to whatever I want and sleeping.
