We are proud to have a family of amazing retail stockists across Australia, and we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to showcase the stores and the amazing women behind them. We sat down and had a chat with Jordie, who co-owns boutique Chaos & Karma in Orange with her mum Helen.
WHAT SORT OF STORE IS CHAOS & KARMA?
It's a colourful, eclectic and a truly unique shopping experience. The shop showcases our own mixed media art in various sizes framed and unframed and own handmade items such as earrings and metalwork. We also stock beautiful giftware, fashion, shoes, statement accessories and a range of bags and wallets in leather and hide on hair products, and so much more.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?
Mum and I started doing the local markets selling our own art and handmade earrings and decided we could make more of this . So we saved and open our first store in May 2019 we have now moved to our second and bigger store Nov 2020.We realised there was a market for people just like us missing in Orange.
HOW LONG HAS THE BUSINESS BEEN OPEN FOR?
We officially opened our shop May 6th 2019.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
I love how our shop makes you feel, it’s bright, airy and fun. I love that I get work with my best friend everyday (Mum) ❤️
HOW DOES A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU UNFOLD?
I’m usually woken by a small black feline (Tootie) who requires feeding. I then stand in front of my cupboard for about ten minutes trying to find an outfit for the day . Off to work where I answer emails, open new arrivals, rearrange the store and really just sit here and look pretty 😂
WHAT LITTLE THING IN LIFE GIVES YOU JOY?
Little thing that gives me joy would have to be sunny days outside , with family and pets.
HOW DO YOU RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES?

WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO PUT AVARCAS AUSTRALIA ON YOUR SHELVES?
At the markets I kept seeing these women wearing them everywhere so I asked one lady about them and she said they were gods gift . I looked into them and fell in love .
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVOURITE AVARCAS?
I have a few pairs since opening I wear my vintage tan the most by far as I’m a big tan girl but my favourite have to be my navy glitter they were my first pair that I HAD to have.
