WHAT SORT OF STORE IS KIKI + FINCH?
Finch is a small women's clothing boutique located in the picturesque township of Emerald in Victoria. We stock a selection of affordable women's fashion, activewear, footwear and accessories as well as some locally handmade giftware.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR BUSINESS?
After having 3 kids in less than 3 years I had lost my sense of self and was battling postnatal depression. I needed a creative outlet and something that was mine. Opening a shop was something I thought I could never achieve but I threw caution to the wind and just went for it. I have loved every minute of it so far and the sense of empowerment I have felt from owning my own business is amazing.
HOW LONG HAS THE BUSINESS BEEN OPEN FOR?
Just over 2 months.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS?
I love chatting to and connecting with my customers and the fact that I get to work in a space that feels like my sanctuary.
HOW DOES A TYPICAL DAY FOR YOU UNFOLD?
My day begins in a circus of 3 kids, a dog and 2 rabbits. Dressing, feeding, cleaning and herding out the door. Kinder, daycare and school drop offs then into the calm tranquillity of the shop. When I close the shop for the day, it's back to the circus 😆
WHAT LITTLE THING IN LIFE GIVES YOU JOY?
Cuddles from my kids.
HOW DO YOU RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES?
I stay in bed watching Netflix.
WHAT PROMPTED YOU TO PUT AVARCAS AUSTRALIA ON YOUR SHELVES?
I love the shoes and I am all about supporting other women in business, I knew my customer would also love everything that Avarcas Australia represents.

GETTING THERE
Emerald is located 53 km south-east of Melbourne in the Dandenong Ranges and is an ideal place for bushwalking and for escaping from Melbourne for the weekend.
