No two feet are alike!
Your authentic Avarcas are handmade and may therefore vary slightly in size. Like with all genuine leather products, the leather will stretch slightly and soften with wear.
Our Avarvas are true to size; however, we know for many, fit is also a matter of preference, and in some cases, a little trial and error is required. We offer a 60-day returns policy. For further information, please click here.
How do I find the right size?
- We recommend, in the first instance, to choose your normal shoe size. You may find them a little snug to start, but snug is good; this allows them to mould to your foot with wear, and the back-strap should be firm on the heel.
- The length is the most important measurement in determining your size (not the width)
- If you are a half size in shoes, we recommend going down to the next full size. For example, if you are normally a 9 ½, order the size 9 (or 40 European).

*The measurements are taken from the stitching around the sole, between the heel and toe stitches, this helps to ensure your foot will fit within the stitching footprint.
Do you have a wide fit?
Our avarcas are made to accommodate both standard and wide fittings alike.
If concerned, the industry guidelines for width are;
- AA: Narrow, 7.5cm-8cm
- B, C, 8-8.5cm
- D,E: Wide, 8.5-9cm
- EE, 3E, 4E: Extra Wide, 9cm+

Should my toes be visible?
It’s important to remember that every foot has its own unique shape, and that includes the length of your toes! Some will be hidden and some will peek through; everyone is different.
